Our Mission
M.U.S.E. (Music Uniting for Support and Equality) is dedicated to empowering Atlanta’s Black LGBTQ+ community by harnessing the transformative power of music. This innovative organization creates dynamic and engaging events that merge compelling musical performances with essential support and educational initiatives. Our events serve as a platform for entertainment and information (infotainment) that elevates Black voices, provides critical support for transgender individuals, and raises awareness about HIV/AIDS.

We are committed to curating dynamic, culturally rich events that serve as both a celebration of Black LGBTQ+ artistry and a platform for critical education and support. Our events are not just moments of entertainment.
Our History
Inspired by the groundbreaking work of organizations like Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Elton John AIDS Foundation, and MusiCares, M.U.S.E. emerged from a shared passion for music and a deep commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by Atlanta’s Black LGBTQ+ community.
Founded on a grassroots effort, M.U.S.E. recognized the urgent need for a safe, inclusive haven where music could serve as a catalyst for empowerment, education, and support. Our founders envisioned a space where the power of music could unite, inspire, and uplift the Black LGBTQ+ community.
Through our first event, "Disco Heat A Sylvester Musical Tribute," we sought to demonstrate the potential of combining entertainment with vital support services, creating a model for future events that can reach a wider audience and significantly impact the community.
